We here at Old Dominion Dance were very excited last year, to announce an entirely new theme for our April Ball, which is coming up fast on Friday, April 7th. In the past, we had hosted a Titanic Era ball, which was a delight. However, the modern American tends to be lacking in the 1910’s wardrobe department; and we really want to draw interest and involvement from all our dancers.
What is a Literary Ball?
A Literary Ball is a dance where everyone is invited to attend dressed as their favorite character from a book, and to bring a copy of that book along as well. The theme of a Literary Ball gives a lot of open room for creativity for costumes and props. Here’s a great example of a gorgeous Literary event elsewhere. In fact, it was so gorgeous that we decided to borrow their idea! For more information about our event, check out our website at dominiondance.com.
What makes this a ball?
Costumes. Drawings. Live Band. The special touches.
We hope you’ll be able to join us on…
