OldDD is offering some summer classes for people who want to try out English Country Dance, but not necessarily jump in at a public dance. We’ll teach basic steps, history, and music styles in a relaxed and very affordable setting! Each class is open to the public and all ages are welcome. Are there any upcoming lessons available soon? We have just returned from a Jane Austen convention and would love to learn regency style country dance. If that’s not available, would you suggest contra dance?

Misty, we usually have a beginner’s class before the Fezziwig Ball in December, and then another general beginner’s class in the spring. However, we do teach a twenty minute beginner’s class before each of our monthly events, and we also teach each dance during the event. So you could come to a monthly event and pick it up there!
