The Veteran’s Day dance went, I think, very well. We were working with a few changes that really threw me off more than I expected: a sort of stage for the callers to stand on; having someone take money at the new raised rate; Caleb calling for the first time; and new restrictions on talking during teaching time. We also had some technical difficulties, and that always stresses me out. But overall I believe people enjoyed the dancing and the unique touch of swing during intermission.

We had at least two veterans present, one of them being my Grandpa who saw combat in the Korean War.

In other news, several new videos have been posted in the list to the right: Auretti’s Dutch Skipper, From Aberdeen, Duke of Perth, and Kelsterne Gardens.

Lord willing we’ll be doing this again next Veteran’s day.
