“The Old Dominion Dancers put on an engaging show.” -Gregory Schmidt, Festivals International
OldDDP is a private, all-volunteer group of young adults who perform English Country Dance at various historical and educational events in the Omaha area. Performances generally run 30 minutes long.
OldDDP is available for hire!
Joining OldDDP is a great way to learn more detailed and varied dances that we don’t do in our public dances. We meet for practice weekly, Tuesday evenings 7pm-9pm. If you are interested in joining the Summer July through September session email Emily at firstname.lastname@example.org
“We were blessed to have the Old Dominion Dancers perform for our annual Jane Austen Birthday Tea in December of 2010. The Dancers entertained us with several English Country Dances, after which they invited us all to join them for dancing. The greatest portion of the audience joined in the fun! The Dancers were both gracious and professional. We greatly appreciated their exceptional entertainment.”
-Martha Bildt, Regional Coordinator, Nebraska Region, Jane Austen Society of North America
“The presentations by the Old Dominion Dance group were well received by both the visiting public and the interpreters. I look forward to their return, possibly on a regular basis. -John Slader, Supt. Ft. Atkinson SHP
“We so enjoyed your dancers coming to Fort Atkinson and performing. They are all such delightful and lovely young people who genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves as they performed. How nice to see your group keeping the art of English Country Dancing alive and beautifully represented. It added so much to our living history experience at Fort Atkinson to have you there. Thank you.”
