This year OldDD is offering something new: summer classes. Arranged to accomodate the needs of a wide variety of people, the classes are to be held at Fluidity dance studio off of 180th and Center St.

Family Folk Dance for Beginners
Tuesday and Wednesday from 7pm-8:30pm
A great family outing, dancing is something that everyone can participate in together. If you’re looking for a fun summer activity, consider learning the basics of English, Scottish, and Irish folk dance in these two enjoyable evening sessions. This class is for beginners who have either never danced before or have danced very little. $25 per person for both sessions(three hours total). Special family rate: $50 for four people for both sessions.

How did young people used to mix and meet two hundred years ago? Dancing! Come learn energetic dances that have been enjoyed by young people for hundreds of years. Not only is dance a safe way to meet new friends, it’s great exercise as well. This class is for beginners who have either never danced before or have danced very little. $25 per person for both sessions(three hours total).
Advanced English Country Dance
For those who have attended Old Dominion Dances before and would like to learn more advanced dances not taught at public events. Enjoy private teaching in one morning session designed to steer participants through a fast-paced lesson in the details of ECD. $25 per person.
